How to use
5 steps to eject water from your iPhone
1
Open this page in Safari on your iPhone
Open myspeakerrepair.com/iphone/ directly in Safari on the iPhone with the water issue. Safari provides the best audio output quality and plays tones through the built-in speaker correctly.
💡 Chrome on iPhone also works — avoid third-party browser restrictions
2
Disconnect AirPods and Bluetooth
Open Control Center and turn Bluetooth off, or disconnect any connected audio device. The water eject tone must play through the iPhone’s built-in speaker — not AirPods or a Bluetooth speaker.
💡 Swipe down from top-right corner → tap Bluetooth icon to disable
3
Volume to maximum, silent mode off
Press the Volume Up button until the bar is full. Also check the physical silent switch on the left side of your iPhone — it must be showing grey (not orange). Maximum volume creates the strongest vibration for water ejection.
💡 The silent switch only mutes ringtones — this tool plays system audio regardless, but max volume still required
4
Select your model, tap Eject, hold phone down
Choose your iPhone model, then tap the blue Eject Water button. Immediately hold your iPhone with the speaker grille facing downward — gravity assists the water droplets falling away from the speaker mesh as vibration dislodges them.
💡 For the earpiece (top speaker): switch to Earpiece mode and hold phone face-down
5
Complete 3 rounds, then air-dry
The three round indicators show your progress. Run all 3 complete cycles without interruption — each is 4 minutes. After the third round, wipe the speaker grille gently with a dry lint-free cloth and leave the phone to air-dry for 30 minutes before charging.
💡 Do not charge your iPhone until completely dry — water + charging current can cause corrosion
IP ratings explained
IP68 doesn’t prevent speaker mesh water
All iPhone models since iPhone 7 are water resistant — but all still need water ejection after submersion.

FAQ
iPhone water eject questions
The fastest method is to play a 165Hz sound tone at maximum volume while holding the iPhone speaker-side down. This is the same method Apple Watch uses in its Water Lock feature. Open this page in Safari, set volume to max, and tap Eject Water. Run 3 complete cycles for best results.
iPhones do not have a built-in water eject shortcut like Apple Watch’s Water Lock. However, Apple Watch’s Water Lock works by playing a 165Hz tone — the exact same frequency this free tool uses. You can achieve the same result on any iPhone by opening this page in Safari.
One ejection cycle takes 4 minutes. For full water removal, run 3 complete cycles (about 12–15 minutes total). Most users notice significant improvement after the first cycle. Allow the iPhone to air-dry for 30 minutes after the final cycle before charging.
Yes. The water eject tone (165Hz) operates well within the iPhone speaker’s normal range. Apple designed iPhone speakers to handle maximum volume output. Playing audio immediately after water exposure is the recommended action to eject trapped water before it causes corrosion.
Yes. Switch to Earpiece mode in the tool above, then hold your iPhone face-down (screen facing the floor) while the tone plays. The earpiece speaker at the top ejects water downward when the phone is in this position. This is important for call quality after water exposure.
IP68 protects internal components but the speaker mesh must remain open for sound to exit — water enters this mesh during submersion regardless of IP rating. Every iPhone model, including IP68 devices, needs water ejection after submersion or heavy splash exposure.
